Other Links:The Other Links project has been going a bit slowly with all the other work that I have been putting into the site. But Other Links offers Links to Employment Resources.
History:The Job-O-Magic site is a project I'm working on to see all that can be done with both PHP and MySQL, all the while seeing how one can create a true Web site without the aid of FrontPage. From my long hours searching, Job-O-Magic contains all of the major Job Search Sites that I have found on the Internet. This project's humble beginnings date back to many months ago when I wanted to find all known job search sites on the Internet for my use in finding a job. My search began with the use of a great Windows application called Copernic 2000. From the massive list created by this application I slowly went though the list to, in turn, create a massive database in Microsoft Excel. Soon after I wanted to get a better idea of all that could be done with JavaScript backed by some odd ideas I had. From that I created my first Job Search Site Listing using only JavaScript to build the HTML page. From that page, I found that JavaScript was a great way to build pages that use redundant HTML code, in that only the plain data was sent to the browser and the JavaScript script created the page from the data. To get an idea of what I'm saying, just click this link here to see my original Job Listing page. A few months later, as I was still looking for a job, I found that I needed to move on in my development knowledge using something other then Visual Basic and JavaScript. For a long time I wanted to work with PHP, and more, MySQL but really didn't have any data that I could use. Then one day after a friend offered me access to his Linux box, I looked back at my Excel worksheet and found that massive data to be the perfect material to use for my test bed. Within less then a month, reading up on both PHP and MySQL with my other Job List page having close to 5,000 hits, Job-O-Magic.com domain was bought.
Job-O-Magic's Future:Happy to say, for now, Job-O-Magic has a great and glorious future. Since Web domains don't cost all that much and I'm just getting by on the costs of the site, I don't see a problem keeping Job-O-Magic.com alive and well. Job-O-Magic.com is and always will be my test bed for new Web technologies that I would like to tinker with. Many who are starting to use my site may find it changed day by day if not minute by minute. There will most likely be no end to this for a long time to come. For those who do find problems accessing this site, I would like to apologize. Just hit the refresh a couple of times and she should be back up and running. MasterJobLinks.com Since Job-O-Magic is my project site, I have bought two other domains to try and help make some sort of income. MasterJobLinks.com will one day become the main site for my link lists while keeping this site as my Beta site. MasterJobLinks.com as like Job-O-Magic will always be free for the job seeker and there are no plans to make it into a mega popup ads site. ewalkin.com This site is more of a place holder for future ideas that I have but have not had the time or money to work on. For the most part, I'm using ewalkin.com to give free web hosting to local kids who want to learn more about web development. I have been and always will give to others all that I can. All that I ask back is your support. I hope you find this site of some use and please send me feedback. I would love to hear all that you have to say about my site!
